Athens
is the capital of Greece. It is the largest and most populated city, the center of all business, commercial and cultural activities. The modern Athenian life evolves under the shadow of the ancient and famous Acropolis that overlooks the city. The center of Athens is a magical blend of the modern element combined with the beautiful and well preserved remains of the ancient Athens. Walk among the Ancient Marketplace (Archaea Agora) and wonder in the small picturesque streets of Plaka, the little but colorful district around the Acropolis.

Plaka
is the center of the Greek folklore and the place to be if you want to taste the best authentic Greek cuisine, drink ouzo, listen to the beautiful Greek music and dance the famous sirtaki. Near Athens is Piraeus the main commercial harbor of Athens.
Piraeus has also two faces. The modern Piraeus is a busy, contemporary harbor, the starting point for all cruises and major sea roots that connect the Greek islands with the mainland and the capital of Athens. The other aspect of Piraeus is the old picturesque Mikrolimano that lies graciously on the Piraeus coast. In Mikrolimano you can taste fresh sea food, enjoy the sea view and relax.
 
In the greater area around Athens, there are a lot more to explore and experience. The ancient Temple of Poseidon stands through the centuries on Cape Sounio, south from Athens, where you can walk among the ancient ruins and enjoy the most beautiful sunset in Attica. 
 
On the way to Cape Sounio lies the cosmopolitan beach line of Athens. Enjoy the sea and sun at the beautiful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza that are located very close to the city and take a cooling and refreshing break from the intense Athenian way of life. During summer it all happens here: Water sports of any kind, beach sports, events, parties and an incredibly vibrant night life with hundreds of hot spots to choose from.

The Greek mainland is full of beautiful cities, unique landscapes and significant archeological sites such as Thermopylae, the historical passage where the brave Leonides and his 300 men fought the Persian king Xerxes and Delphi with the greatest oracle of ancient Greece, where the fates of kings and entire populations has been decided many centuries ago. Further in the north of Delphi we find Meteora, a magnificent complex of rock formations located near to the city of Kalampaka, 356 km northwest from the capital of Athens. Since the 14th century, 24 convents have been constructed on the top of these unique rocks. That is why Meteora is considered as a very important landmark of the Greek Orthodox Church.

The Greek islands are famous for their natural beauty and their unique blue sea. There are island complex formations such as the Northern Sporades, the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and the Eptanisa as well as larger islands like Crete, Chios, Limnos, Lesvos, Samos, Samothrace, and Thassos. Visit the famous Mykonos and Santorini, the enchanting Corfu, the medieval Rhodes, the traditional Crete and all the crisp white and blue Aegean islands and live the perfect summer dream! All the islands are accessible by sea with the modern ferries and catamarans.
