Arrival in Athens airport and transfer to the hotel. The afternoon is free for a first walk in Athens or for relaxation at the hotel.

For those who doesn’t want to waste any time, we recommend the Cape Sounion optional tour, that is available from April to October. During the tour you can enjoy the drive along the coastal road, passing the beautiful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza to the south most point of Attica, Cape Sounion, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. On the way, you have a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf and the little islands offshore.After visiting the Temple of Poseidon , you have time to take a walk on the rocky promontory of Sounion. Overnight at the hotel.

 

 

Breakfast at the hotel and we depart for the half day Athens City Tour.  

This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides take you to see the center of the city.  Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library.  Driving down Herod Atticus Street, you will see the Evzones in their picturesque uniform and the Presidential Palace.  On your way to the acropolis you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and you will make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896.  On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erectheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon.

After the Athens Tour we have the afternoon free to rest or to take a walk in Athens. For the evening you will enjoy the Athens By Night Tour. Your evening will start with a drive to Piraeus and its natural harbors, such as lively Zea with its busy yacht marina and tiny Mikrolimano , one of the most picturesque corners of Piraeus. Then, return to Athens for dinner in Plaka, the old city, in a typical Greek tavern with folk music and dancers. Overnight at the hotel.

 

 

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the 4 days Classical Tour with bus and guide. Prehistory, the Classical period, Roman domination, the Byzantine Empire, the Crusades and Modern times: Greece through the centuries will unfold before you o¬n this four day tour. We leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop).  Drive o¬n and visit the Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics.  Then proceed to the town of Nauplion (short photo stop), drive o¬n to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon.  Then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. (Dinner).

 

 

Breakfast at the hotel in Olympia and then visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum.  Then drive o¬n through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion.  Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi.  Overnight. Breakfast at the hotel and we visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town stated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks. Overnight. (Dinner)

 

 

Breakfast  at the hotel and we visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched o¬n top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art.  Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida’s Monument).  Arrive in Athens early in the evening. Overnight in Athens.

 

 

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Athens airport for the return flight.
